The largest island in Ritchie’s Archipelago, and the most developed, Havelock will always be the Andamans’ favourite holiday destination. With excellent boat services it is the most easily reached of all the Andaman islands.

There are over 50 hotels on Havelock and many restaurants and shops and you will find everything you need here. However it still feels like a remote tropical island. Most of the hotels are sympathetically built out of local materials, bamboo and thatch, and nestle discreetly in the palm trees a little away from the beach. You can hire a motorbike or bicycle and explore the lush interior of the island, or take a boat trip to Elephant Beach.
