The Tree House

Built around a magnificent ancient padauk  tree ( a native hardwood), we have 12 thatched rooms around a central restaurant and the whole area is naturally air-conditioned by the shade of the tree! 

We have 6 rooms with en-suite bathroom, and 6 rooms with common bathroom suitable for budget travellers. Rooms vary in size (and price!) but all have a little verandah facing the restaurant. 

The central restaurant area is perfect for relaxing during the day, and we pride ourselves in offering excellent meals cooked to order: the freshly caught seafood is a speciality.

Our fresh espresso coffee is the talk of the islands! We also offer fresh fruit juices according to season, and a variety of snacks from pakoras to pancakes. 

Blue cottages

For those wanting a little more privacy, or for large parties of family and/or friends. Blue Cottages offer a romantic retreat set in a large garden, a short distance from the boat jetty. Both are traditional wooden cottages with a sitting/dining room, small kitchen, and two double bedrooms. The cottages are slightly different in layout: one has a large family bathroom, the other has two en-suite bathrooms. 

The gardens are magnificent, with mature betel nut trees, bamboos, a tamarind tree and various tropical fruits. 

For those staying at the Blue Cottages we can offer the use of our restaurant facilities at the Tree House, or we can provide a cook for a reasonable extra charge. 

For a real "get away from it all" adventure, we can also arrange camping trips to North Passage Island (subject to permission from the Forest Department).
